Mammoth Lakes, California

Mammoth Lakes is located 300 miles north of Los Angeles in the Eastern High Sierra and is home to some 5000 year round residents.

Isolated from large populated cities and surround by public lands, Mammoth Lakes is a natural oasis of incredible scenic beauty with views to be had from every angle.

The views you take in from town are some of the most spectacular of any town in the entire world. Add in the unlimited sports and recreational opportunities and you have a mega playground in the natural wonderland of the Eastern High Sierra.

In winter we shine with a great snow pack and lots of the traditional winter activities. Mammoth Mountain is the main focus with its 3500 acres of fun, lifts and events. Off the hill you can cross country ski, ride snowmobiles, take off on snow shoes, go sled, take the family ice skating, enjoy a full moon winter night, or just relax by the fire and enjoy the winter landscape.

Spring is a time of renewal and melt off... our massive snow pack allows you to ski and snowboard right till the last day of spring during many seasons. Spring sprouts new fun with fishing season and mountain biking kicking off to the truly devoted fans. Yes it still can be quite cold and snowy during April and May, but it is a great time to enjoy the Eastern Sierra, Mammoth Lakes and Mammoth Mountain..
